About North Star Digital
We are a North West video production team, based at MediaCity in Manchester and working with clients across the UK.
Since 2014, we have made films for businesses, schools, healthcare organisations, charities and events. We help with the whole process, from deciding what to say to filming and editing.
Our approach is straightforward: listen to what you need, agree a clear plan and make the filming experience comfortable for everyone involved.

Help with the planning. You bring the knowledge of your organisation. We help you decide what the film needs to say, who should appear and what to capture.
A team that puts people at ease. Not everyone is comfortable on camera. We guide interviews and explain what is happening, so your team can concentrate on being themselves.
Clear communication. We agree the scope, costs, schedule and review stages before work begins. You know what is included and what happens next.
UK-wide support. Our base is in the North West, but your filming does not need to be. We plan shoots at offices, schools, venues and other locations across the UK.

Jonathon
Jonathon founded North Star Digital in 2014. He helps clients turn their initial ideas into a practical filming brief, drawing on experience in corporate films and event production.
From the first conversation, his focus is on understanding what you need, keeping the process clear and making sure the film tells your story accurately.
Vikki
Previously an Art and Photography teacher, Vikki brings a trained eye for detail and a deep love of visual storytelling to every project. Her background adds colour, emotion, and thoughtful composition to each frame whether she’s filming a corporate campaign or a brand story. Outside of work, she’s passionate about art, food, and travel—and life’s never dull with two energetic young boys and her husband Jonathon keeping things lively.
When she’s behind the camera, Vikki is your brand’s biggest supporter – putting you and your team at ease, making the shoot feel natural, and ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. The result? A stunning, authentic film that captures who you are and what you stand for.
Simon
Simon brings a calm, confident presence that puts everyone at ease, allowing the day to unfold naturally. His cinematic eye and breathtaking drone shots help craft films that are both beautiful and deeply personal. He shares the same passions as his brother Jonathon—football, travel, and making memories with his family.
Chelsea
Chelsea is a natural storyteller: creative, intuitive, and highly skilled in every aspect of filmmaking. Her calm, easygoing presence puts everyone at ease on set, while her quiet confidence and methodical approach ensure no detail is missed. Whether it’s a high-energy brand shoot or a behind-the-scenes doc-style film, she brings out the best in people—often without them even realising they’re on camera.
She’s the kind of person who’ll have the whole room laughing, while capturing the most genuine, unfiltered moments along the way. Outside of work, Chelsea is a passionate traveller, musician, and gym lover—bringing that same energy and curiosity into every project she’s part of.
James
James leads post-production, turning interviews and footage into finished films. He brings together the story, sound, music and graphics, keeping the message clear and the pace right for the audience.
He works through feedback to refine each edit and prepare the final versions for delivery.
Nick
Nick’s calm, unassuming presence makes him a natural fit for our documentary-led approach. He has a gift for capturing authentic, unscripted moments without ever interrupting the flow—blending into the background while keeping a sharp eye on the story as it unfolds. With a background in hospitality, Nick understands how to navigate fast-paced environments with professionalism, warmth, and discretion—qualities our clients consistently praise.
A tech enthusiast with a deep love for storytelling, Nick brings precision and creativity to every frame. His eye for detail and thoughtful shooting style result in cinematic visuals that feel both beautiful and real—films that quietly speak volumes.

Production time ranges from next-day urgent deliveries to months for complex projects, and we’re here to guide and support you throughout!

This would need to be arranged in advance of the filming day.
Can you help us to promote our films online?
We can help you promote your films online with targeted marketing, ensuring they reach the right audience and gets the attention they deserve.
How much planning is involved?
We can help with planning, reducing the burden on you and ensuring a smooth, stress-free process from start to finish. Planning can be done in person or via a Teams/Zoom call.
Can we have versions for different platforms?
We can create multiple versions in various lengths and dimensions, optimised for different social media platforms to maximise your reach and impact.
How much control do we get over the edits?
You’ll have input on the edits, with revisions included in our packages, ensuring the final video meets your vision and expectations.
